Benny Bloss Injures Wrist, Oldenburg Makes Main Event

During the press session at the opening round of the 2026 Supercross Season, Benny Bloss unfortunately sustained an injury. He was diagnosed with a broken wrist and since had surgery to repair it. The team hopes he’ll be able to rejoin the series mid-season. His teammate, Mitchell Oldenburg, started off his 2026 Monster Energy Supercross campaign with a steady performance at Anaheim 1. In the heat race, he got a solid start and rode well to a ninth-place finish to transfer to the main event. In the main event, he initially got off to a good start and avoided traffic, and was running in seventh, but the race was red-flagged, and the riders returned to the gates for a restart. His start after the red flag wasn’t as good, pushing him to the mid-pack where he wasn’t able to find a comfortable rhythm. Oldenburg navigated the slick and technical track aboard his Beta 450 RX, clocking a best lap time of 1:09.23 during the main, marking a consistent start to his second full season in the premier class as he looks to build momentum heading into 2026.

“Made it out of A1. A dumb mistake on the last lap put me on the ground, losing a couple of positions. I’ve got more in the tank, and I’m excited to hang it out a little more in San Diego.”
