DeMartile Grabs Second Place in the NGPC Opener

Liqui Moly Beta’s Dare DeMartile kicked off the 2026 AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) Series with a strong performance, finishing a narrow second at the SoCal Motorcycle Club’s American Grand Prix. DeMartile showcased incredible speed and composure aboard his Beta Factory 450 RC, seizing the lead early in the race and maintaining a front-running pace for much of the 90-minute battle. After a back-and-forth exchange with the defending champion, DeMartile pushed his limits in the final laps, even rubbing elbows in the S-turns in an attempt to reclaim the top spot. He ultimately crossed the finish line just one second behind the leader for the second step on the podium.

“That was a dog fight. Speeds up to 90+ mph each lap while on hard pack slippery terrain. It came down to the last lap. Second overall was all I had on the day. But keeping my eyes forward and moving on to the next race.”
