– 2005 Ducati Monster 620 Dark
The original “naked” motorcycle, the Ducati Monster created an overnight sensation when it was launched over a decade ago. Today, it defines the class more than ever. An essential street fighter – with its fully exposed engine and bodywork – the Monster delivers style and real sport bike performance. This year, the Monster S4R, the first in the high-performance Monster SR dynasty, is joined by the new S2R. “Classic” versions of the bike, which have made this family so popular, include the agile 620 and the powerful 1000.
The Monster has a relaxed and confidence-inspiring riding position combined with some of our most powerful Ducati Desmo, 90° L-twin engines. A Superbike trellis frame, fuel injection, computer engine management and the latest race-performance brakes and suspension guarantee smooth and capable road manners.
Features & Benefits
The 620 Dark – with its matte finish and clean lines – captures the essence of the Monster style, as well as offering outstanding value. Available in single disc brake version with 5 gears and twin disc version with 6 gears.
Its reliability and smooth power delivery make the 620 easy to ride. Plus, the light weight of the Ducati air-cooled, Desmodue, L-twin engine makes this model a breeze to handle.
Available in 1 and 2 Disk versions.
The 620 is the perfect entry to the Monster family. Easy to maintain, it is the lightest and easiest handling Ducati. The motorcycle of choice for the official Ducati riding courses, the 620 offers a low seat height, a new slipper clutch for seamless shifting, a new, colour-matched front fairing, newly designed mirrors for increased visibility, and a comfortable, upright riding position.
This year’s Monster 620 is the only motorcycle in the world to feature the revolutionary Power Torque Clutch system. PTC makes gear shifting a breeze and ensures minimal rear wheel patter, so you can safely and seamlessly go from comfortable city to more aggressive sports rides. And now, with 6 gears to get your revs from, the 620 guarantees real-world acceleration, responsiveness and fun no matter where your ride takes you.
