– 2005 Buell Blast Standard and Low Profile
We wouldn’t dare call this a blast if it weren’t. It’s the essence of riding served up in a uncomplicated, perfectly balanced machine. A single cylinder engine, lightweight design and legendary Buell engineering. Who doesn’t have room for a little more fun in their lives? Get yours in Midnight Black or Battle Blue.
The entry-level Buell Blast will also return to a dealership near you in 2005. Being the smallest bike in the lineup, the Blast is powered by a 492cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that pumps out a tame 34 hp. This bike’s fuel economy is claimed to be 68 mpg and with a gas tank that holds 2.8 gallons, you can travel nearly 200 miles before having to refuel.
The Blast weighs in at 360 pounds and has a seat height of 27.5 inches with an optional low-profile seat that lowers that mark to 25.5 inches. Combine that with a low-effort clutch lever with a reduced reach distance and a shifter that can be adjusted, and Buell says the Blast gives you a motorcycle that’s very easy to operate. The Buell Blast also comes with shiny new graphics for 2005.
