Roberts Opens the Season on the Podium in Arizona 

Liqui Moly Beta’s Zane Roberts kicked off the 2026 AMA West Hare Scrambles series with a tenacious performance at the opening round of the series in Page, Arizona, securing a strong second-place overall finish aboard his Factory 480 RR. Roberts engaged in a relentless battle with the eventual winner, with the two riders never more than a few seconds apart and swapping the physical lead nearly ten times throughout the grueling two-and-a-half-hour race. Roberts surprised the field by attacking early and passing for the lead on the first lap, expertly navigating the unique mix of fast sand whoops and technical sandstone ledges. Despite the fierce challenge, Roberts just missed the top step of the podium, noting that the terrain made it difficult to build a gap in a race that ultimately “came down to the wire.”
