“Solid weekend for the final round of AMA National Hare and Hounds this weekend! With a fair bit of rain Saturday night we were in for some perfect conditions come Sunday. The wet dirt took a lot of pressure off of the start and made for great battling. I got off to a second place start and just followed the leader for the first lap, letting him navigate the course as there were a lot of arrows down from the wind and rain. Early into the second loop he made a navigation error and I took the opportunity to jump into the lead but soon took my own navigation error where there was a downed arrow and we both ended up losing the trail and having to backtrack which eliminated the small gap I had. From there we did a little battling and I jumped into the lead and was able to bring it home from there to the finish. Overall a pretty solid end to a decent season. Hungry for more next year!”
