Extrasoft SCQ, supersoft SCX and soft SC0 confirmed for the rear at the Spanish Round, Pirelli’s final event as Official Tyre Supplier to the Championship
· The final chapter. The Pirelli Spanish Round at Jerez de la Frontera will not only bring the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship season to a close, a season dominated by Nicolò Bulega and Ducati, but will also mark the end of a partnership that has played a significant role in the history of the Championship. After 23 consecutive seasons, dating back to 2004, Pirelli is preparing to contest its final race as the Official Tyre Supplier to the premier production-based motorcycle racing championship, bringing to a close a journey defined by technological innovation, continuous development, close collaboration with teams and manufacturers, and numerous sporting milestones.

· The softest rear option. Pirelli has confirmed the softest rear options in its range, already used at the recent Estoril Round. This choice is consistent with the characteristics of the Andalusian circuit, whose low-abrasion asphalt favours these solutions. For practice sessions, qualifying and races, WorldSBK riders will have the supersoft SCX and soft SC0 available. Introduced into the allocation last year as the E0126 development tyre, the supersoft SCX proved particularly effective, enabling Nicolò Bulega to claim all three race wins. The soft SC0 provides a valid alternative in the event of lower temperatures. In addition to these options, WorldSBK riders will be able to rely on the extrasoft SCQ, the softest tyre in the Pirelli range, for qualifying and potentially Sunday morning’s Superpole Race, offering the highest level of performance.

· Front tyre options. For the front, the available range options will be the soft SC1 and medium SC2, both of which proved competitive at the Spanish circuit in 2025. Nicolò Bulega secured pole position using the SC1 and then won both full-length races with the SC2, while he opted for the E0672 soft development tyre in the Superpole Race. In wet conditions, the allocation will be completed by DIABLO™ Wet intermediate tyres and DIABLO™ Rain tyres for both front and rear.

· Two titles still to be decided. For the final round of the WorldSSP season, riders will be able to choose between the SCX supersoft and SC0 soft compounds from the range for the rear, while the front options will be the SC1 soft and SC2 medium. The Pirelli Spanish Round will decide the last two titles still up for grabs. In the FIM World Sportbike Championship, making its debut this year, Spaniard David Salvador (Kawasaki) arrives at Jerez with a 12-point lead over his compatriot and fellow Kawasaki rider Xavi Artigas, with two races and 50 points still available. In the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, meanwhile, Maria Herrera heads into the final round with a 44-point advantage over fellow Spaniard Beatriz Neila. Both categories use Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike tyres with the SC1 compound at both the front and rear.

Jerez hosts the final chapter in a story of success and innovation

“The Pirelli Spanish Round will mark the final chapter in the long journey that began in 2004, when Pirelli joined the FIM Superbike World Championship as Official Tyre Supplier. Over the years, we have built a partnership that has seen us become not just a supplier, but an active and strategic partner, contributing to the growth and development of the Championship.
Before saying our final goodbyes, however, we still have one last round ahead of us, which we want to approach with the same determination and the aim of bringing a particularly positive season to the best possible conclusion. The results achieved, with new records set at virtually every circuit and in a wide variety of conditions, have gone hand in hand with intensive development work, carried out alongside the teams right up to the final race.
For this last event, we have chosen to retain the softest rear options, the extrasoft SCQ and supersoft SCX, which have been used throughout much of the season. The extensive data collected over the years at Jerez, both during races and in testing, confirms that these are the most effective options for tackling a circuit characterised by low-abrasion asphalt”.
