Walker on the XC2 Podium, Strang with a 7th place XC1 Finish

Round Six of the 2026 GNCC series at The Old Gray provided a demanding test of grit and machine for the team, highlighted by a standout performance in the XC2 division. Jhak Walker made an immediate impact, surging off the line to claim the holeshot and leading the entire overall field for the opening stages of the race. Despite building a comfortable gap, a mid-race issue forced him to adapt his riding style on the rocky Tennessee terrain. He showed immense resilience by maintaining a podium-contending pace, ultimately securing ninth overall and a hard-earned third in class. Jhak continues to lead the series points race in XC2. Meanwhile, Josh Strang delivered a consistent performance in the XC1 ranks, navigating the brutal, rock-strewn sections with confidence on his Beta Factory 480 RR. Though he found himself in a lonely race after losing touch with the lead group early on, his steady lap times allowed him to secure a top-ten overall finish, providing a solid foundation as the season continues.

Factory 480 RR

“This weekend was a little difficult to take. I felt like I rode a solid race, but I just lost the front group early and was riding by myself for a lot of the race. I felt very comfortable in the rocky conditions on my 480 and felt like I had more to give. Looking forward to the next couple of rounds!”

Factory 250 RR

“I had a great day, started strong with a holeshot, then led the overall for a few laps. I maintained a good gap, then had an incident that caused me to lose my rear brakes with three laps left, making it difficult to keep the pace, but I stayed pushing until the end for a podium.”
