The opening weekend of August sees MotoGP action return with Team SUZUKI ECSTAR refreshed from its 3-week summer break and the technicians in Japan and Europe having completed some ongoing behind-the-scenes developments for the GSX-RR ready for this weekend’s Brno 10th round in the Czech Republic.
Both riders, Alex Rins and Joan Mir, spent time-off enjoying some rest and family-time, but also training hard to stay in peak shape for the weekend and the following races: Rins currently holds 4th in the 2019 MotoGP™ series, following a couple of DNF’s when in strong podium positions, and team mate, MotoGP Rookie Mir, is 13th following 9 of 19 rounds.
In the UK, British Superbikes will take place at Thruxton for round 7 of BSB and also British Superstock 1000, where Buildbase Suzuki’s Richard Cooper continues to lead the series on his SST-Specification Suzuki GSX-R1000. In the Superbike Class, Bradley Ray, fresh from his impressive performance at the Suzuka 8-Hours, where the S-Pulse Dream Racing Suzuki Team finished 8th – and a Ray holeshot the 42nd running of the historic event – he currently looks to improve from his 17th position, along with teammate Luke Stapleford, who is 15th.
August 4th: Round 10. MotoGP™. Brno. Czech Republic. Practice/ Qualifying begins on Friday with final Q1 and Q2 Saturday ahead of Sunday’s race.
August 4th: Round 7. Bennetts British Superbike Championship and Superstock 1000 Championship. Thruxton. UK. Initial practice sessions on Friday with Qualifying Saturday ahead of Sunday’s races.
