Winner in First Annual Beta Ironman Fantasy Challenge Announced

In the first year of this event, Ryan Large won the overall prize. Large correctly ranked 5 out of the 9 Beta riders in the morning race against each other. There were nearly 100 entries into the Fantasy challenge, with a total pot of $1,700 that will be split between Ryan & Road 2 Recovery. Congratulations Ryan!

The race itself was very competitive between the Beta riders. Right from the start, Zane was first into the woods with a questionable holeshot. There was some debate among the team about whether his engine was on just before the flag dropped. Nonetheless, the racing was tight with some bumping and paint trading as the riders jockeyed for position. Zach, Zane, and Carlen were all close throughout the race, swapping positions as they raced each other. Then on the fourth lap, Brayden Nolette turned it on and flew past Carlen and Zane, but couldn’t quite catch Zach. With the wheel-to-wheel racing and hard charging over the two-hour race, the top five Beta riders all finished within five minutes of each other, with the top three riders within 40 seconds of one another. The former SX champion, Zach Osborne, finished second in class and first among the Beta riders with a strong effort on his Beta 450 RX.

How the Beta Riders finished to each other:

Zach Osborne

Brayden Nolette

Zane Roberts

Carlen Gardner

Kyle McDonal

Dennis LeBlanc

Brian Marok

Joe Wasson

Rodney Smith

Beta hopes to make this event bigger and better next year. Thank you to all who participated in the event and supported Road 2 Recovery in the process!
