The Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Superbike Team are in action this weekend for the opening round of 10 in the 2019 AMA/ MotoAmerica Superbike Championship at Michelin Raceway, Road Atlanta in America.
Toni Elias and new team-mate Josh Herrin line-up aboard the GSX-R1000 machinery after their final pre-season and shakedown testing a fortnight ago with the aim of bringing the title back to Suzuki.
Elias, who finished runner-up last season following his series victory in 2017, holds a total of 25 race wins to his credit, while Herrin, who joins the team this season, has a total of six.
In AMA Superbikes / MotoAmerica, Suzuki’s Mat Mladin has the stand-out record with 82 victories and Suzuki also holds the manufacturer title with a total of 203 wins.
