MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 Team’s Sleny Goyer has finished sixth overall at the third round of the 2026 EMX125 Championship. After overcoming some adversity in Race One, the rising French star charged to a maiden victory in Race Two to secure sixth on the day and move up to third in the series standings. In EMX250, VHR Yamaha Official EMX250 Team’s Mano Faure placed 12th overall, with crashes in both races affecting his results.
Goyer headed to the deep sand track of Riola Sardo in Sardegna focused on maintaining his impressive start to the season. Posting the fourth-fastest time in his qualifying group underlined his sand-riding skills and the young Frenchman lined up for Race One eager to impress.
Through the early stages of Race One, Goyer ran third before working his way forwards and into the lead within a handful of laps. Unfortunately, a technical issue brought his race to a premature end.
Looking for redemption in the second race, Goyer started seventh and once again worked his way to the front. After moving into the lead with five laps remaining, the talented youngster maintained his blistering pace to pull away from the field and cross the finish line with a winning margin of more than 16 seconds. Goyer’s maiden EMX125 race victory secured sixth overall on the day and he moves up to third in the championship with seven rounds remaining.
Mano Faure also demonstrated his capabilities in the sand, together with his exceptional starting ability, in Sardegna. In the opening EMX250 race of the weekend, the Frenchman emerged from the first turn at the front aboard his GYTR-kitted YZ250F, and he led the way until the second half of the race. Faure then crashed out of the lead and fell twice more before finishing 18th.
The 16-year-old secured his second holeshot of the weekend in Race Two before being shuffled back to fifth. A few laps later, Faure had moved into fourth, then third when he worked his way past Gyan Doensen with three laps remaining. Faure then fell from his machine, remounting in ninth, and he held this position for the remaining laps. On the day, Faure placed 12th and slips to fifth in the series standings following three rounds.
Faure’s teammate Jarne Bervoets enjoyed a strong start to the weekend with eighth in qualifying, however a hard crash later in the session led to him retiring from Race One and then withdrawing from Race Two.
With a challenging round of racing in Sardegna now complete, both teams will return to mainland Europe and travel to the hardpack circuit of Pietramurata next weekend for round four of their respective championships.
