Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Romain Febvre has been forced to withdraw from the seventeenth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Afyon, Turkey, following a heavy fall in the Timed Practice session earlier this afternoon.
After setting the fastest lap time in the first practice session, Febvre had an unfortunate crash while trying to better his lap-time in the second practice. The Frenchman suffered a concussion in the accident and was taken to hospital for further medical examination where it was confirmed that no other injury was sustained.
As a precautionary measure, Febvre will not line-up for the Turkish Grand Prix tomorrow.
