IANNONE JOINS SUZUKI FANS AT BOLOGNA MOTORSHOW

Team Suzuki Press Office – December 13.

Andrea Iannone enjoyed a day with his fans last week, thanks to an invitation from Suzuki Italy to attend the Motorshow of Bologna Expo, where the Team SUZUKI ECSTAR MotoGP rider raced some laps in the outside arena in the new Suzuki Swift 1.0 Boosterjet dressed in Suzuki MotoGP livery.

Iannone, who showed his stunt-driving skills on the dedicated circuit in front of a crowded grandstand, said: “The Swift is a very nice machine. It’s compact and light but has got some power! This ECSTAR livery is very similar to the one I have on my GSX-RR MotoGP machine, a cool thing for young people that want to distinguish. I’ve been told also that soon they will introduce the Swift Sport, with even more power and performances. That will be for sure a ‘big toy for big boys.”

After some time spent with the Italian media, Iannone met the huge crowd of fans that gathered at the Suzuki Italy booth to see their hero and get autographs and selfies, the day ending with a surprise gift to Iannone from Mirko Dall’Agnola, Suzuki Italy’s Sales Manager Auto, who handed Andrea the keys to a Suzuki Vitara 1.4 Boosterjet that he will use in his everyday activities when not at the circuits.

“It’s a great pleasure for us to give Andrea the opportunity to test one of our best cars. He is not only a great rider but also a very nice person who made us feel all part of the same Suzuki family. It was my first time meeting him, we chatted for a while and he clearly made me feel his true passion for cars. I believe he will enjoy this new Vitara a lot,” said Dall’Agnola.
