2021 BMW S1000R : UNCOMPROMISING DYNAMICS.

Introducing the 2021 BMW S1000R…

If your heartbeat races in proportion to the tachometer, then the S 1000 R is the Roadster for you. It’s stripped down to the essentials but maximized for pure riding pleasure. Its aggressive engine with its 165 hp will put a smile on your face every time it revs up. The rich sound of the new standard HP titanium rear exhaust leaves no doubt: That’s how life in the fast lane sounds.

Emotional roadster visuals paired with super-sporty riding dynamics – this is what the BMW S 1000 R stands for. Reduced down to the essentials, it is a signal for dynamism. Its close resemblance to the RR is apparent at first glance.

THE DESIGN OF THE S 1000 R.
Choose your style.
The contrasting color combinations highlight the sporty and dynamic design of the S 1000 R and give it a striking appearance. It is available in three different colors: Black Storm Metallic, Motorsport: Light White/Lupin Blue Metallic/Racing Red and Racing Red/Black Storm Metallic.

Adrenaline on two wheels.
The genes of the S 1000 RR are quite clear in this bike: an aggressive tail-up/nose-down design, a distinctive split-face and characteristic gills. The greatly reduced side trim panel and precise coloring are pure and uncompromising.

2021 BMW S1000R Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

The source of all dynamics: the engine.
The high-performance 4-cylinder in-line engine, just like the rear, descends from the RR. For an extremely linear torque and constant forward propulsion across the entire engine speed range. Throttle-by-wire lets you measure out this power even more precisely. The Gear Shift Assist Pro lets you shift up and down without using the clutch for more dynamics and shorter response times.

Room for adjustments.
The S 1000 R comes with two standard Ride Modes, Rain and Road. The ABS and ASC (Automatic Stability Control) in Rain mode provides a more gentle throttle, best suited for wet road surfaces, while the Road mode optimizes the throttle response of the ABS and ASC when riding on dry asphalt.

You can configure your ride even more with two additional modes: Dynamic and Dynamic Pro mode. The User mode on the Dynamic Pro allows you to personalize these riding settings.

Race ABS, ASC, and two Ride Modes as standard.

To optimally adapt to your requirements, the S 1000 R has the two riding modes, Rain and Road. Alongside the partially integrated race ABS, you also have the Automatic Stability Control (ASC) on-board as standard for a clear boost in terms of safety and performance. The functions can be switched off and on while riding.

Ride Modes Pro with ABS Pro, DTC, Launch Control, and pit lane limiter.

With optional Ride Modes Pro, you can extend the technical repertoire of the S 1000 R with ABS Pro and with the additional Dynamic and Dynamic Pro Ride Modes. ABS becomes ABS Pro in the Rain, Road, and Dynamic Ride Modes. Other features that come with this equipment are Launch Control for perfect race starts and the configurable pit lane limiter for exact adherence to speeds in the pit lane. Furthermore, the standard ASC is replaced with the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with angular rate sensor.

Gear Shift Assist Pro for dynamic shifting.

The optional Gear Shift Assist Pro is a feature known and loved by racers allowing riders to upshift and downshift without actuating the clutch, meaning you always have the handlebars firmly in your grip while reducing shift time. In addition, load change influence on the rear wheel is considerably reduced, leading to better lane retention.
