NEXT LEVEL CRAZY! MORE IS MORE – INTRODUCING THE 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO

Taking the accolade of being the most technologically advanced Adventure machine in the KTM wheelhouse, the 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO doesn’t only move the goalpost – it simply obliterates the playing field.

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO sits at the top of the KTM SUPER ADVENTURE line-up, bringing all-new technological and mechanical advancements to the adventure-motorcycling realm.

Starting at the chassis the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO boasts reworked frame stiffness, improving handling and track stability, with 8 mm lower and 10 mm wider footpeg positioning which improves rider comfort with a wider knee angle.

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO is fitted with the latest generation WP Semi-Active Technology. Compared to the previous generation, the SAT has been tuned to be more precise with consistent damping behavior at higher frequencies. This was achieved using new PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) sensors and a new through-rod fork construction that combines design borrowed from Open Cartridge and Closed Cartridge suspension elements.

Styling and ergonomics have also been updated for 2025, with new bodywork and seat design, all-new LED headlight, new windshields, and storage compartment, to mention a few. However, the mechanical elements under the new skin provide the biggest updates over the previous generation, with the change in engine capacity being the most immediate highlight.

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO boasts an increased engine displacement from 1,300 to 1,350 cc, producing 173 PS @ 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. This comes courtesy of reworked engine components and all-new CAMSHIFT technology, which provides improved rideability in low rpm range, higher peak performance, low emissions, and fuel consumption. At higher revs, the inlet cams shift sideways, opening the valves longer and higher to flood the cylinder with gas, unleashing maximum performance. In the lower rev range, the inlet cams dial back the valve timing and lift, optimizing rideability. This dual approach delivers a powerful boost in performance, whether you’re navigating city streets or tearing up fast roads.

This is mated to an all-new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) – a first for KTM and exclusive to the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO. First seen as a prototype in the hands of Johnny Aubert on the formidable Iron Road Prologue at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, the AMT is one of the most innovative engine developments made by KTM in recent years.

The AMT allows the rider to choose between a traditional manual shifting, by way of the foot lever or bar-mounted paddles, or a completely twist-and-go automated transmission, while retaining a full READY TO RACE attitude. To learn more about KTM’s all-new AMT technology, click HERE to read the digital press kit.

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO also receives KTM’s new premium touchscreen, portrait-mount V80 TFT dashboard. This brings an entirely new generation of premium electronic and electric architecture and rider usability to the fore.

The 8” Touchscreen features inductive technology, allowing easy operation even when wearing thick winter gloves, while an innovative anti-reflex, anti-fingerprint and anti-glare coating improves overall readability. Click HERE to read more on the new V80 TFT Dashboard.

Here, riders have access to all new RIDE MODES, and Connectivity features, and KTM’s latest Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which adds Brake Assistance, Collision Warning, and Distance Warning to its arsenal. The new ACC system, combined with AMT, features ACC Stop & Go. When activated, this system will bring the motorcycle to a complete stop if the vehicle ahead comes to a hold. Once the vehicle moves, the motorcycle will automatically resume its motion.

All the above comes courtesy of a more compact, 5th-generation front radar sensor made by Bosch, and fitted as standard on the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO. This features performance optimization, improved truck detection, a higher maximum speed, and updated cancellation thresholds, with Dynamic, Street, and Group Ride functionality.

The 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO is a powerhouse in both performance and technological advancements, pushing the boundaries of Adventure motorcycling even further.

WARP SPEED

Automated Manual Transmission (AMT)

The next era in travel motorcycling has arrived in the form of KTM Automated Manual Transmission – or AMT. Not only is this one of the most innovative new engine developments made by KTM in recent years, but it is also a revelation regarding motorcycle usability. TUNED TO TRAVEL

Semi-Active Suspension Technology

There’s no modest way to say this, but – the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO is fitted with the most advanced suspension system on the market. Featuring the latest version of WP’s Semi-Active Suspension Technology (SAT) with through-rod technology to reduce friction and improve sensitivity, this ride is unlike anything else. It works like this: Electronically controlled magnetic valves provide variable damping based on the road surface and rider inputs. It also offers riders a wide range of adjustability for maximum comfort and safety. But wait, there’s more. Not only can riders manage their suspension settings via the TFT screen with four diffrent damping modes COMFORT, STREET, SPORT and RAIN, and with the optional Suspension PRO package riders have even more setup options. PURE POWER

Engine

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range showcases a significantly reworked engine with a displacement increase from 1301 to 1350cc and cutting-edge Camshift technology. This results in a power output of 173 PS and 145 Nm of torque, all while meeting the latest EURO 5+ homologation standards, with valve clearance checks only necessary after 60,000 km.

POWERBAND

Camshift Technology

A big part of the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range punch comes from all-new CAMSHIFT technology. This provides variable-valve timing with 2 different cam profiles, making for an optimized power band with higher torque and peak performance. In short, it works like this – in the lower rev range, the inlet cams have a reduced valve timing and lift, meaning the inlet valves are open for a shorter time. At higher revs, the inlet cams shift sideways, with longer valve openings and a higher valve lift for more gas flow – and of course, more go!

GRIP AND GO

Wheels & Tires

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO is fitted with new DUNLOP MERIDIAN tires. These tires feature an innovative ‘ice-ax’ tread pattern, which increases traction on unpaved roads and provides optimum water drainage. They also offer superb handling and stability on the tarmac, making them perfect for touring or tearing up mountain passes. Dimensions: 120/70 R 19 in the front and 170/60 R 17 on the rear.

STOPPING POWER

Brakes

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO has added more stopping power to its arsenal, with new Brembo front master cylinders and new front brake pads. This makes for improved brake performance and a sharper ‘bite’.

CUT THE WIND

Windshield

A new adjustable windshield finds its way onto the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO, allowing for up to 70 mm of adjustment. Designed in a wind tunnel, this new windshield is quieter, offers more wind protection, and is ready to take on the longest of journeys.

LIGHT THE WAY

LED Headlight

Turning night to day, an all-new LED headlight unit takes center position on the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range. Not only does this provide the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE with a fresh signature stare, but it also illuminates the road ahead with new cornering lights lighting up the bends with a broader illumination.

MAXIMUM COMFORT

Adjustability

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO features multi-adjustable touchpoints, like the brake and clutch levers, shift lever, handlebar position, seat, and windshield, making finding the perfect position for hours in the saddle a breeze.

KEEPING COOL

Cooling

Thanks to new, more efficient radiator fans with wings, cooling is dramatically improved on this latest generation KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range. A new, more robust valve seat material and new alloy materials help increase thermal conductivity, while lateral air outlets guide hot air away from the rider’s knees.

SOLID FOOTING

Footpegs

The footrest mounting position is lowered by 8 mm to improve the rider’s comfort thanks to a wider knee angle, while being moved 10 mm outwards for better contact and feel when standing on the pegs.

GET A GRIP

Handlebar

Wider, adjustable, and made of high-strength tapered aluminum, these new handlebars are perfectly suited to a reworked upper triple clamp made of lightweight forged aluminum.
