Suzuki’s commitment to all kinds of motorcyclists is nowhere more obvious than in its cruiser line-up. Suzuki builds a wide selection of models designed to appeal to people of all ages and experience levels. But don’t let the traditional looks fool you, every one of these bikes comes standard with the latest in technology and performance. With seven bikes ranging from 250cc all the way up to 1500cc, there’s a Suzuki cruiser for every type of rider.


For many riders, the long, low and massive look is what cruiser styling is all about. The VL1500 Intruder LC takes all these elements and blends modern technology with an affordable price for an unbeatable cruiser combination. The VL1500LC receives several new changes for 2002 including a new dual disc set-up with lightweight front brake calipers and a new 4-piston rear caliper. Other features include a new rear brake pad material combined with a new drilled rear disc for improved performance and lighter weight, plus chrome plated covers are mounted on the turn signal stays front and rear. The big VL utilizes an air/oil-cooled 1500cc V-twin powerplant tuned to produce peak torque at just 2300 rpm and is geared to turn a leisurely 2700 rpm at 65 mph. The engine is based around the same crankcase and five speed shaft drive system as the legendary VS1400, but with many features that are designed to enhance reliability and simplify service, such as plated cylinders and hydraulic valve lash adjusters.

The Intruder 1500 features a low 27.6 inch seat height with wide and comfortable seats, while placement of the handlebars and controls were carefully thought out for maximum rider comfort. Even the front brake and clutch lever are fully adjustable to suit the rider’s individual preference. The double cradle steel frame is made of large diameter, thin-walled tubing for maximum strength and minimal weight and is suspended by 41 mm front forks and a preload adjustable single shock rear suspension for a plush and comfortable ride. The whole package rolls on wide tires mounted on custom-styled cast aluminum wheels with disc brakes mounted front and rear.

Modern technology combined with classic styling is what the VL1500 LC is all about.
