Get ready for an unforgettable ride
Long, low and reminiscent of the lean, mean customs of yesteryear. With the timelessly beautiful V-Star 1100 Custom V-Twin you might just have difficulty deciding which is more attractive: its styling or its value. After all, where else can you find this class-defining combination of fit and finish and performance in a package so affordable? You’re right – nowhere.
The V Star 1100 Custom has the performance, fit and finish the Star Family is famous for, with classic chopper styling and a price tag closer to most bikes half its size.
Its burly, air-cooled, 65-cubic-inch V-twin pumps out big, fat chunks of low-end torque. Drop in a smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission and low-maintenance shaft drive. And then spoon it all into a long, 64.5″ wheelbase strung between wire-spoked wheels and drag-style handlebars.
The V Star® 1100 Custom comes all the chrome-plated, teardrop-tanked, low-riding, piston-pounding appeal of other V-twin mega-cruisers, but for literally thousands of dollars less.
And for 2005, you can own a Special Midnight Custom with black paint, distinctive trim and appointments throughout. New features include a stylish, new speedometer face and clear turn signal lenses.

65 cubic-inch (1063cc), air-cooled, SOHC, 75° V-twin tuned to provide outstanding low- and mid-range torque—maximum torque is reached at only 2500 rpm—for exceptional overall cruising performance.
Forged lightweight pistons provide greater durability and reduced vibration and reciprocating mass.
Ceramic composite cylinder bore plating ensures superior heat dissipation for better cooling and longer engine life.
Thick cylinder cooling fins enhance the stylish look while increasing cooling efficiency.
Dual Mikuni 37mm carburetors with throttle position sensor features a progressive pulley, electronic fuel pump, carburetor heater and handy side-mounted air filter to ensure consistent fuel flow, greater throttle response and optimum power throughout the rev range.
One-way cam clutch-type starter decreases mechanical noise during starting.
Low-maintenance shaft drive delivers superior reliability and smooth cruiser ride quality.
2-into-2 exhaust system with dual shotgun-style staggered pipes play outstanding V-twin music and simplify aftermarket conversion.
Chassis/Suspension:
Low-slung, large-diameter, rigid double-cradle frame with 32° rake creates strong, stylish machine with precise, predictable handling.
Extra-long, 64.6-inch wheelbase produces long and low retro profile, with spacious ergonomics for added rider comfort and well-balanced handling.
Class-lowest, 27.2-inch seat height enhances maneuverability and provides extra confidence when waiting at stoplights.
41mm telescopic front fork with 5.5 inches of travel smoothes out the bumps and features a chrome-plated protector for added insurance against damage from debris.
Link-type, preload-adjustable single rear shock with 4.5 inches of class-leading travel lowers center of gravity and offers extra-plush ride.
Rear shock tucked out of sight for a classic, hardtail look.
Large-diameter dual front (with floating dual-piston calipers) and single rear disc brakes provide strong, confidence-inspiring stopping power.
Fat, 15-inch rear tire and snappy bobtail fender adds a timeless touch and excellent splash protection.
Flat, drag-style 1-inch-diameter handlebars further enhances sporty, stylish package.
Additional Features:
Low-profile, split tandem seat and passenger pillion pad offer all-day rider comfort and enhance overall ridability.

Large, 4.5-gallon teardrop fuel tank features class-leading fuel capacity for extra long-distance cruising range.
Eye-catching, tank-mounted speedometer designed with a large face for easy reading of tripmeter/odometer displays and turn signal, neutral, high beam, low oil and engine diagnostic indicator lights.
Underseat helmet holder increases convenience for rider.
Locking compartment under side cover provides handy, secure storage for small items.
