American National Enduro Championship – Round 9
The ANEC season finale marked another masterclass for Korie Steede aboard her Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition, with the 25-year-old topping all six tests in Geneseo, Illinois, to claim another overall victory and complete a perfect NE Pro Women’s campaign.
Steede will now shift her focus to this weekend’s Buckwheat 100 GNCC, where she’ll look to defend her WXC Class championship.
“To go nine rounds in a season undefeated is unreal – a dream come true,” reflected Steede. “I had another solid day with every test victory, and to end the season like that is also a pretty big deal in my books. I had a couple of hiccups during the day, but in the end we were able to bring it home, and it feels awesome. A massive thank you to the entire Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team for all the work in 2026.”
NE Pro1 contender Craig DeLong also delivered a solid performance in Illinois, guiding his Husqvarna FX 350 to fourth overall. His result was highlighted by second-place finishes in Tests 2 and 5.
The result sees DeLong conclude his 2026 ANEC campaign fifth in the NE Pro 1 Class standings, with a season-high second-place finish at the opener complemented by four additional fourth-place results.
“It was a decent day in Illinois,” commented DeLong. “We had steady times all day – nothing too flashy, just nice and consistent. We let a podium slip away, which was a little disappointing with one bad time, and I got stuck behind some slower guys. In the end, the bike worked really well – and fourth on the day is what we had.”
