Top 5 Harley-Davidson moments of 2018

FXDR

As we reach the end of another year, we couldn’t let it pass without reflecting on some of the highlights of 2018. It’s been another memorable year for Harley-Davidson® with lots more to look forward to in 2019.

Here’s our top five Harley® moments of 2018…

1. FXDR™ 114 launch

The latest addition to the Softail® line-up turned heads in its own right with its distinctive styling and performance credentials attracting new riders to Harley®.

The introduction of the FXDR™ 114 also spearheaded the global More Roads announcement, which promised the launch of 100 new Harley-Davidson® motorcycles over the next 10 years, covering a wide variety of motorcycling genres. The next of these is the highly-anticipated LiveWire™ electric motorcycle in 2019.

2. 115th anniversary celebrations

Even when looking to the future, we always keep an eye on our past and 115 years of motorcycle-building heritage is definitely cause for celebration. The European and American parties definitely didn’t disappoint, with thousands of fans travelling huge distances to be part of the celebrations.

3. Introduction of Iron 1200

A new, affordable Sportster, based on the ever-popular Iron 883™ with more power and retro styling – what’s not to like?! The Dark Custom styling of the Iron 1200™ couldn’t fail to be one of our 2018 highlights.

4. Motorcycle Live

Bikes, barbers and Battle of the Kings all in one place with a soundtrack by the incredible DJ Destruction, the Harley-Davidson® presence at this year’s Motorcycle Live was one to remember for us and all of those who visited.

5. Arrival of Forty-Eight Special

Eye-catching styling and custom attitude at the same price as its predecessor, the Forty-Eight®, made this newcomer a winner for us and judging by the number of Forty-Eight Special® test rides taken this year, you agreed.
