| Gerston Completes the Three-Peat at the Tecate Enduro
Max Gerston solidified his dominance in the Baja backroads by capturing his third consecutive victory at the 2026 Tecate Enduro. Riding his Beta Factory 250 RR, Gerston overcame a physically demanding opening loop and intense mid-race cramping that left him “falling asleep in the chair” during the second pit stop. Despite the exhaustion, he mounted a spectacular comeback on the final loop, stalking and eventually overtaking the leader. Gerston’s resilience allowed him to finish the grueling 90-mile course that was composed of relentless granite rocks and manzanita in just over four hours. His victory was a masterclass in endurance as fewer than half of the starters managed to earn the prestigious finisher’s pin. |
