Gerston Completes the Three-Peat at the Tecate Enduro

Max Gerston solidified his dominance in the Baja backroads by capturing his third consecutive victory at the 2026 Tecate Enduro. Riding his Beta Factory 250 RR, Gerston overcame a physically demanding opening loop and intense mid-race cramping that left him “falling asleep in the chair” during the second pit stop. Despite the exhaustion, he mounted a spectacular comeback on the final loop, stalking and eventually overtaking the leader. Gerston’s resilience allowed him to finish the grueling 90-mile course that was composed of relentless granite rocks and manzanita in just over four hours. His victory was a masterclass in endurance as fewer than half of the starters managed to earn the prestigious finisher’s pin.

“Tecate Enduro was a super challenging day for me. I had to push hard to stay mentally focused and keep my body going for the full four hours. I enjoyed the challenge, and I’m super grateful to finish happy and healthy, along with getting another overall win. I’m three for three at Tecate, and I enjoy the challenge every year. My Beta 250 RR ISDE bike was nimble and ideal for the tight twisty course through the mountains of Mexico. Massive shout out to anybody that finished this years Tecate Enduro along with the Los Anciano’s motorcycle club.”
