AGGRESSIVE & SLEEK
The Ninja 650 ABS motorcycle stands out with sleek styling, aggressive headlights, and an upswept tail cowl.
Sharp Ninja Styling
Sharp styling comes with aggressive bodywork, a redesigned front fender, and twin LED headlights for a sporty appearance. A thick passenger seat also provides a comfortable ride for everyday riding.
RELAXED, SPORTY ERGONOMICS
Enjoy a relaxed, sporty, upright position, designed to inspire confidence on the road. A low, 30.9-in seat height provides ideal everyday riding comfort.
Comfort Meets Design
The upright angle of the windscreen maintains sufficient wind protection for a comfortable ride when speeds pick up. The windscreen is also positioned low, mounted flush with the upper cowl for a sleek design.
EXHILARATING & FUN
The sporty 649cc parallel-twin engine delivers a quick-revving character with smooth and responsive performance.
NINJA POWER
Optimized for everyday riding, the 649cc parallel-twin engine delivers strong low-to-mid-range torque and exciting mid-range power in every gear. Throttle response is smooth, natural, and predictable, giving you crisp, instant acceleration off the line.
Perform In The Clutch
An Assist & Slipper Clutch helps to put the power to the ground while providing an extremely light pull at the lever and reducing rear-wheel chatter during downshifts.
OPTIONAL QUICK SHIFTER
Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) is available as an option for the first time on the Ninja 650 ABS. This optional accessory provides smooth, clutchless upshifts for seamless acceleration during sport riding.
HIGH-TECH ELECTRONICS
TFT color instrumentation with smartphone connectivity add high-tech elements to the ride and allow you to connect to the Ninja 650 ABS motorcycle like never before.
USEFUL INFORMATION AT A GLANCE
A new 4.3-in all-digital TFT (thin-film transistor) color instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance and visibility. The screen’s background color can be set to your preference (black or white), and screen brightness adjusts automatically to suit available light.
The new display layout can be switched between 2 display types.
• Type 1 shows a bar-style tachometer along the top with simple vehicle information below.
• Type 2 shows a hexagonal tachometer.
Display functions include: digital speedometer, digital bar-style tachometer, gear position indicator, shift lamp, fuel gauge, odometer, dual trip meters, current and average fuel
TAKE CONTROL FROM YOUR PHONE
Smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE† with available voice command and navigation connects you with your bike wirelessly, allowing you to view vehicle info, navigation, riding log, call and email notifications, and tuning of general settings.
NIMBLE & RESPONSIVE
The Ninja 650 ABS motorcycle delivers the thrills with light, natural handling ideal for a variety of sport riding situations. Designed to inspire confidence, a new 37mm Showa SFF-BP inverted front fork, new lightweight radial-mount 4-piston brake calipers, and Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) make every ride one to remember.
SPORT-TUNED SUSPENSION
A new 37mm Showa SFF-BP inverted front fork and horizontal back-link rear suspension, with revised rear shock settings and updated spring and damping characteristics, improve suspension action. These settings were carefully chosen to maintain rider-friendly handling character.
Sport Gets Sportier
New lightweight, radial-mount 4-piston brake calipers deliver a firmer brake feel with increased rigidity and light handling character.
Optimized ABS settings provide smoother intervention than the previous model, giving you maximum confidence and rider engagement. Dunlop Sportmax RoadSport 2 tires contribute to an overall sporty riding experience.
Take Control
Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) features 2 modes that allow you to adjust settings to suit the riding situation and your preference.
• Mode 1 provides the least amount of assistance with sport riding in mind.
• Mode 2 offers the most assistance, allowing you to navigate challenging road conditions with confidence.
You may also elect to turn the system off.
Strong Foundation. Agile Ride.
A key component of the Ninja 650 ABS sportbike’s agile character is the lightweight trellis frame. Coming in at only 33.1 lb (15 kg), this lightweight frame contributes significantly to the bike’s sporty, nimble handling.
