TRAINING

Like no one else in the industry, Harley-Davidson completes its motorcycle offering with professional
partnerships to provide outstanding operator and technician training.

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR PUBLIC SAFETY
For more than 20 years, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company has worked with Northwestern University Center for Public Safety to make motor officers safer through training. From our humble beginnings, moving six motorcycles in a U-Haul four times a year, we’ve built a nationwide program, transporting 21. training motorcycles in a custom tractor-trailer to as many as 13 locations each year.

Our instructors are second to none. We also provide an on-site technician and a complete inventory of
parts to handle any mechanical issues, ensuring uninterrupted training. And it’s all included in student tuition. We want to make affordable, topquality operator and instructor training available to all motor officers.

MOTORCYCLE MECHANICS INSTITUTE
Training for technicians who serve law enforcement agencies that use Harley-Davidson® police
motorcycles is offered at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona.
Working with Harley-Davidson University, we provide a curriculum similar to that offered for dealership technicians. Five classes are held in spring and fall: Vehicle Maintenance, Electrical
Diagnostics, Air-Cooled Powertrain, Engine Management Systems and Chassis/ABS Service.
