Suzuki’s Monumental Race Weekend Takes Victories in Every Class

2019 Suzuki GSX-R1000R

Across the globe, Suzuki had a monumental weekend of race success as roadracers took victories in every class Suzuki participated in.

Team Suzuki ECSTAR’s Alex Rins brilliantly rode his GSX-RR to his second MotoGP win of the season at the British GP at Silverstone, England while Yoshimura Suzuki’s Toni Elias also scored a victory aboard his GSX-R1000R at the MotoAmerica race weekend at the Pittsburgh Motorsports Race Complex. That victory was Elias’ seventh win of the season and gives him a 35-point lead in MotoAmerica Superbike championship with just two race weekends left.

In conjunction with Elias’ win at Pittsburgh Motorsports Race Complex, Team Hammer celebrated monumental back-to-back victories from M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Sean Dylan Kelly and Roadracing World Young Guns Suzuki’s Alex Dumas. Kelly controlled Saturday’s MotoAmerica Supersport race one on his GSX-R600 cementing his first-ever MotoAmerica Supersport win, followed by another in more dominating fashion on Sunday.

Dumas took control of the Twins Cup race one on his SV650, pushing forward through the pack while building a lead of more than five seconds that he would hold to victory at the checkered flag. For race two, Dumas proved again to be unstoppable, claiming his fourth win in five races. The win was Team Hammer’s 80th in AMA and MotoAmerica competition, and its 227th podium finish in the national series. Dumas now leads the MotoAmerica Twins Cup championship by nine points.

These exciting and dominant wins validate Suzuki’s continued support of racing across a variety of classes and at all levels. These victories also demonstrate Suzuki’s unwavering commitment to engineering the finest performance motorcycles.
