· Bulega keeps his winning streak running. In the 5th round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, held at the Most circuit, Czech Republic, Nicolò Bulega (Ducati) once again confirmed his tip-top shape form by winning all three races on the programme and remaining unbeaten since the start of the season. And the Ducati Panigale V4R remains the undisputed queen of the Championship: in addition to Bulega, all three weekend podiums went to his team-mate Iker Lecuona in second place and Yari Montella in third. Compared with Race 1, in Race 2 the D0922 remained the most widely chosen rear tyre option, and the new F0468 medium specification was adopted by 5 riders, including Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki) and Alberto Surra (Ducati), who finished fifth and sixth, respectively. · New record-breaking SC0 soft. In the Superpole Race, everyone raced with standard soft tyres on both axles, SC1 at the front and SC0 at the rear. The SC0 is the new soft standard for 2026, known until last year as the E0125 development specification. With this tyre, the winner Bulega set the new best race lap in 1’29.920 on lap three, improving by almost three tenths the one established by Toprak Razgatlıoğlu last year (1’30.201). In addition, this year’s race, run in 15’07.499, was more than 8 seconds faster than the 2025 race (15’15.882), for an average lap-time improvement of more than eight tenths. · Debise and ZXMOTO do it again. After winning Race 1 yesterday, Valentin Debise won also the second race of the weekend on his ZXMOTO 800RR, finishing ahead of Turkish rider Can Öncü (Yamaha). Third place went to Oly Bayliss (Triumph). All riders went for the SC1 soft front compound, paired in the vast majority of cases with the SC0 soft rear, with the exception of Ana Carrasco (Honda) and Yuki Okamoto (Yamaha), who opted for the SC1 medium rear. Jaume Masia set the new race lap record on the Ducati Panigale V2 at 1’34.130, improving by two tenths the record he had previously set last year last year (1’34.338).
