BRIAR BAUMAN SCORES AFT SUPERTWINS WIN AT VENTURA ABOARD H-D XG750R

MILWAUKEE (April 26, 2026) – Rick Ware Racing/Jacob Construction/Parts Plus Harley-Davidson rider Briar Bauman dominated the Mission AFT SuperTwins field at the Memphis Shades Ventura Short Track presented by 805 Beer, racing a Harley-Davidson XG750R motorcycle to claim his first win of the season in Ventura, Calif. Series points leader Latus Motors Racing/Harley-Davidson/BMC Racing rider Kody Kopp finished second on a Harley-Davidson XG750R motorcycle as his impressive debut campaign continues.

Kopp topped qualifying with a best lap of 15.503 seconds on the quarter-mile Ventura track. Bauman won his heat race by 0.960 seconds. In the main event (eight minutes plus two laps) Bauman dove under Kopp in the first turn to take a lead that was never seriously challenged, opening a 1.5-second gap on Kopp at the four-minute mark. Bauman and Kopp pulled away from the field as Yamaha rider Dallas Daniels and KTM rider Davis Fisher staged a bar-to-bar battle for third place. Bauman was held up by lapped traffic in the closing laps, but his lead over Kopp was sufficient to take the win by 1.373 seconds. Daniels finished third, 5.949 seconds behind Bauman, as Fisher faded late with mechanical issues.

“I got a little bit greedy the first three rounds,” said Bauman following the race, his third consecutive win on the Ventura short track. “I kind of led the team in a difficult direction. We wanted to bite off more than we could chew, and we got a little ahead of ourselves. So apologies to Rick Ware Racing and the whole family, but this is where we belong.”

After 4 of 16 rounds in the 2026 Mission AFT SuperTwins championship, Kopp leads with 84 points, followed by Daniels with 77 points and Bauman with 62 points.

The AFT Mission SuperTwins series resumes May 2 at the Silver Dollar Speedway Short Track in Chico, Calif.
