Gregg Black Joins Suzuki Endurance Racing Team August 9, 2017 Michael Le Pard News Team Suzuki Press Office – August 7. Former Suzuki team rider and double Endurance World Superstock Champion Gregg Black is to join the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team for the new 2017-2018 EWC Championship that gets underway next month. British-born Black will join long-time SERT riders Vincent Philippe and Etienne Masson aboard the new 2017 GSX-R1000 Suzuki for the opening round at the Le Castellet Circuit, near Marseilles in southern France on September 15th to 17th, as Team Principal and Manager Dominique Meliand makes a welcome return to duties from a long recuperation. Black, who lives in France, joins the Le Mans-based 15-time Endurance World Champions as no stranger, and brings a wealth of experience, determination and enthusiasm to the series’ most-successful team: Black won both his Endurance Superstock titles aboard the Junior Team LMS Suzuki GSX-R1000, based out of the same French headquarters as SERT. Known as the ‘Black Attack,’ the 28-year-old Derbyshire-born rider will also be involved in the development of the new GSX-R1000 Superbike alongside his team-mates.
