Cameron Smith to Join Richie Morris Racing in Potent AFT Singles Effort

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 5, 2019) – Richie Morris Racing (RMR) announced today that Roof Systems AFT Singles presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys competitor – Cameron Smith – has officially joined the team for its 2019 American Flat Track season.

The Pennsylvania-born Smith finished 13th in points in 2018 and earned six top-10 finishes including a best finish of fifth at the Minnesota Mile.

“I couldn’t be more excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the RMR/Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda team,” said Smith. “With the amount of support I have going into this season, I know we are going to be successful on the track.”

RMR/Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda and Smith will be backed with additional support from Pro Honda Oils and Tucker Powersports.

Over the decades, Pro Honda Oils have supported countless championship-winning efforts in all forms of motorcycle racing. Pro Honda Oils & Chemicals are crafted to meet the demand of competitive powersports and the standards of Honda race machines.

“The AFT Singles class produces some of the best racing anywhere, and Pro Honda Oils is looking forward to a podium-filled season with Cameron and Mikey representing Honda on the RMR CRF450Rs,” said Mike Spencer, Manager of Parts Marketing at American Honda. “The dyno-proven horsepower advantage of Pro Honda HP4S full-synthetic engine oil will be a key factor in maintaining a performance and reliability edge for the team throughout the season.”

A world-class leader in the delivery of powersports aftermarket parts, accessories and apparel, Tucker Powersports offers the widest selection of products from the leading brands in the powersports industry.

“With the rapid growth in flat track racing, and all the excitement around the AFT series, we’re pumped for the opportunity to reconnect with the RMR team,” said Taz Sobotka, Senior Marketing Manager of Tucker. “It’s an honor to support the RMR/Al Lamb Dallas Honda team and its talented riders as part of the historical return of Honda to flat track racing.”

“We are in the process of building an incredibly strong program,” said Richie Morris, Team Owner of Richie Morris Racing. “When you consider the experience and resources we’ve pulled for 2019 – signing Mikey Rush and partnering with American Honda – adding the up-and-coming talent of Cameron to the RMR/Al Lamb Dallas Honda team delivers another level of excitement to our program. I have watched him for a couple of years; I believe that with the proper equipment and team, he will achieve success.”

Fans can look forward to seeing Smith make his first appearance on the No. 44 RMR/Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda Honda CRF450R at American Flat Track’s season opener – the DAYTONA TT presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
