2009 Husqvarna TE510

TE 510 – HUSQVARNA. The TE 510 is the most powerful Husqvarna Enduro.

Thanks to a new frame, future riders of the Husqvarna flagship model can fully exploit its handling and stability characteristics that blend perfectly with the smooth power delivery of the fuel injected engine.
The main changes involve the frame with newly calibrated Marzocchi forks, an entirely revised Sachs shock absorber and changes to appearance in common with all the four-stroke 2009 TE range such as the new headlamp unit, wave type brake discs, black wheels and new graphics.

The exhaust system is pre-prepared to accept the racing system and meets the new noise emission levels set by the FIM. The 510 engine has steel valves to ensure reliability and long life. The gearbox has been updated to offer improved gear change speed and accuracy.

Like the 250 and 450, the 510 too has a new timing chain tensioner, a new oil pressure relief valve on the oil circuit and a new oil filter .

With the whole TE range gaining an all new chassis and fuel injection for 2008, the open class TE510 didn’t need much changing however that hasn’t stopped Husqvarna R&D working hard to optimise the package. For 2009 the frame has been revised to save approx 1kg and to improve rider feedback, there is a new ‘race ready’ exhaust system and a number of internal engine changes aimed at improving the feel of the gear shift and general engine durability. Black Excel rims, wavy discs, revised suspension settings, new graphics, new digital dash and a new headlight shield complete the package.

FOUR-STROKE ENDURO MODELS

The new four-stroke 250, 310, 450 and 510 Enduro models have seen significant modifications.
Husqvarna engineers concentrated on the frame to make the twin cam four-stroke even lighter and easier to handle.

To achieve this, the frame is of a completely new design with new levels of rigidity and settings for dealing with power that optimise handling and give the rider a much better feel for the bike. The frames on all the 2009 four-stroke Enduro models have been lightened by 1 kilo compared to 2008.
On the safety front, new exclusively designed Wave type brake discs improve performance under even extreme conditions. New 2009 graphics adorn the white racing number panels on the sides and the new headlamp unit that houses the smaller, lighter digital display is also white.

Still on the subject of looks, the wheels are black anodised Excel rims and the new plastic engine protectors on both sides are also black. The newly designed side stand is made of aluminium.
These modifications apply to all the Enduros but each model has had various changes made to the engine.
