Xingfu Motorcycles

Years Active: 1950s–1990s

Notable Models: Xingfu XF125, XF250

Xingfu was one of China’s earliest motorcycle manufacturers, based in Shanghai.
They produced small displacement motorcycles (50cc–250cc) and mopeds, often inspired by Soviet and Japanese designs.
Xingfu was eventually absorbed into larger Chinese state‑owned enterprises as the industry consolidated.

💡 Did You Know? The Xingfu XF125 was one of the first motorcycles mass‑produced in China.

Xispa (Spain) [Defunct – Trials Motorcycles]

Xispa

Years Active: 2005–2010

Notable Models: Xispa 250, Xispa 280

Xispa was a Spanish manufacturer specializing in trials motorcycles.
Their lightweight, competition‑focused bikes were affordable alternatives to GasGas and Montesa.
Despite initial promise, Xispa closed after only a few years due to financial difficulties.

💡 Did You Know? Xispa bikes were often used by amateur riders entering trials competitions.

In addition to Xingfu and Xispa, several smaller or short‑lived “X” brands existed:

  • Xingyue (China): 2000s–2010s scooters and small motorcycles, exported worldwide.

  • Xintian (China): Small displacement motorcycles, regional sales.
  • Xmotos (China): Off‑road dirt bikes and pit bikes, still active in niche markets.
  • XOR Motors (France): Short‑lived electric scooter startup (2000s).
  • Xufeng (China): Regional scooter and motorcycle manufacturer.
