2004 Motorcycle MPG Fuel Economy Guide
World Changing Event: February 4, 2004 – Facebook was founded at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was created as a social networking service for specific universities and became a public site in 2006, growing to more than 750 million active users. Facebook changed the way we used the internet for social interaction and exchange. According to Social Media Today, in April 2010 an estimated 41.6% of the U.S. population had a Facebook account. Nevertheless, Facebook’s market growth started to stall in some regions, with the site losing 7 million active users in the United States and Canada in 2011. Facebook has come under heavy critisim for user privacy and has been successfully hacked several times with users personal information being stolen. In 2011 Google Plus was created to compete with Facebook.
