Interactive Friday: Giving Thanks for Engines and Fossil Fuels!

Are you enjoying Thanksgiving and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday festive weekend? Are you overly stuffed with Turkey? Ham? Roast Beef? Maybe too much gravy or cranberry sauce? Had too much apple, pumpkin and pecan pie? Well Interactive Friday: Giving Thanks for Engines and Fossil Fuels will slim you down and drop that extra weight off* in no time!

(*no scientifically proven results, although TMW has been “safe and effective” as a way to enjoy motorcycle information and the motorbike community for over 25 years)

With our Giving Thanks edition…

Let me give thanks to our 425 million readers, without whom we would not have www.totalmotorcycle.com today, 800,000 pages of information and  over 25 years of a great site that’s positively contributed to the motorcycling community worldwide. Thank you!

Also, let’s thank our super growing community here in our TMW Forums as well as on our Social Media channels. We are approaching 90,000 members and it won’t be long before we hit that magical 100,000 follower number! So thank you to all who joined us and signed up.

Please also let me thank my wife, Andrea, who has suffered watching me work 7 days a week non-stop on TMW for the past 25 years to bring you all this great information. That’s a lot of vacations not taken as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings not spent together. Thank you my wife!

And last but not least photos for today’s cover photo from Stuart @StuartCutmore, F Society @gpetroia71, Roger Miller @protectionpart1 and Blue Diamond @Diamondneedle18 over on X who graciously submitted their photos in our very popular #1 topic for this week (see below).

Top 5 Topics this week:

#1: Speaking of our most popular topic by a landslide was: Let’s see your motorcycle photos!! Motorbikes, Scooters, Step-Thru’s, Mopeds… Go ahead… show them off! 📷 🏍️ 👍 with over 100 entries, 109 likes and almost 10,000 riders seeing them in 5 days! You posted your bike right?

#2: As we approach Thanksgiving, I was thinking of the original “Fast and Furious” movie where they pray to the “engine god for overhead cams, turbos, etc” so in the vein, let’s be thankful for the original 1968 Honda’s Inline-4 engine! Thank you Honda for gracing the next 57 years of glorious high-revving screamers! Can I get a thumbs up?? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍  Not bad as we got 41 people, 168 likes and 9,000 amen’s!

#3 was a political motorcycle topic: Do you support COP29’s proposed ban on fossil fuels (Oil & Gas) which will affect motorcycles? A. YES or B. NO. Bonus: Come up with a solution! (good luck). 🚫⛽️🏍️⛔️🏍️ COP29 just wrapped up in Baku with Co-Chair Denmark says: “I hear people say that fossil fuels are a gift from god. Only if it stays in the ground. We’re experiencing pushback on last year’s decision to transition away from fossil fuels, which is unacceptable”

#4 With Thanksgiving, how can I not do “Name 1 thing about being a rider you are thankful for.” right? 🏍️🥰🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️

and lastly #5 Let’s get ready to RUMBLE! Do you like the sound of a low RPM or high RPM engine? 👇 A. Low RPM 🔉 or B. High RPM 🔊 or C. Electric (no sound is the best sound) ⛔️
